Hi there!

My name is Katie Allen and I am a Marketer based in Herts, UK.

Creative and analytical to the core, I am the one that asks ‘why?’ and the one that says ‘Yes’ to innovative thinking.

My professional side:
I am goal-orientated self-starter, with strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. My experience includes working at a Fortune 500 company, for the mouse himself, where I also had the privilege of working with brands such as Reebok and Adidas. For the last four years, I have been working in-house as a Marketing Manager, improving the content and brand presence of an SME, operating in the FMCG market. My strengths are in strategy and project management which have been invaluable to brand and campaign management.

My personal side:
My life is run by to-do lists and fuelled by coffee. Despite being on the smaller side, I am a black belt martial artist. I have explored the underwater city of Rapture, found El Dorado and jumped from the Notre Dame into a pile of hay, all from the comfort of my sofa. Basically, I am a bit of a nerd. Speaking of which, I am also a Ravenclaw.

The Story So Far

  • Level 3: Joining the Waterlogic Team
I am currently working in the marketing team at Waterlogic on several projects, involving offline and online channels.

  • Additional DLC: Level 3 Foundation in Marketing and Level 4 Certificate in Marketing
To support my career, I have been working towards a chartership with the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing).

  • Level 2 Unlocked: Management Achievement Unlocked
Working for 4 Aces Ltd, a SME in the FMCG sector, I had the privilege of working on a breadth of marketing projects, including campaign management, branding and a launch of an e-commerce platform.

  • Level 1 Unlocked: Working For the Infamous Mouse
Having the opportunity to work at The Walt Disney Company for a year was honestly a dream come true. Working for the mouse himself, I gained a real insight into the power of brand, integrated marketing and PR.

  • Additional DLC: Getting a 1st Class in Creative Product Design
At university, I studied Product Design because I enjoy solving problems. Here I learnt to identify a market opportunity, define a user problem and find a solution. Being able to understand user needs has been invaluable in the marketing environment.

  • Tutorial Level Complete
A country girl through and through, I love the outdoors and trying new things.
